Vocational Development in North Division
Friends of North Division is committed to the community
The George Geharz/North Division Alumni and Friends Board was established to carry out the vision of the late George Geharz and continue the programs he started at North Division.
To continue this work and support our community, we need your help. As we all know, it takes a village. We continue to work with the Milwaukee Public School Recreation Department, Irie D. Grant Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. and Milwaukee Area Technical College to provide job skills training and identify other potential opportunities.
North Division Welding Program
For The Future
In our first Welding Program offering, we were able to provide the location, materials and training to those looking for key job skills.
Valuable Skills
The multi-week program provided skills and discipline along with a certificate that enabled students to pursue a career in welding.
Great Partnerships
We work with MPS, MATC, and community leaders to deliver this program to those looking to improve their lives and careers.
